Permanent full Time 35 hours, 5 days/week $113,139.40 to $123,971.84 + 12% super + Council Leaseback vehicle or vehicle allowance
JOB DESCRIPTION
Liverpool City Council has an exciting opportunity for a self-motivated and enthusiastic Senior Environmental Health Officer to be part of a dynamic team responsible for protecting, promoting and enhancing environmental health standards within the Liverpool Local Government area.
The successful applicant will be required to undertake regulatory inspections under relevant environmental and public health legislation. Key functions of this position include but are not limited to the inspection of food premises, skin penetration premises, hairdressers, cooling towers, swimming and spa pools, on-site sewage managements systems, environmental pollution investigations, public health complaints as well as the assessment of air, noise, contaminated land and wastewater reports.
This includes the collection of evidence for the preparation of warning letters, Improvement and Prohibition notices, breach reports, issuing Penalty Infringement Notices and statements of evidence, and briefing legal counsel.
You will be flexible to work outside core working hours (when required), including after hour night inspections and weekend inspections of temporary events.
